Paige Bueckers and Nike announced on Monday that the UConn star is the first-ever NIL athlete to design and drop a Nike Player Edition basketball sneaker, the Nike G.T. Hustle 3. She’s ready to get to work in them, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It\u2019s definitely motivating to wear your own shoe,\u201d Paige says in an official press releas<\/a>e. \u201cI grew up wearing Nikes \u2014all the signature shoes \u2014so it\u2019s surreal to have this Player Edition model. I just want to show out in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her own Nike Player Editions, that is. The Nike G.T. Hustle 3 is meant to<\/a> “propel her performance during the final season of her illustrious collegiate career,” at UConn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do they look like?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The silhouette was made with her style, and elite game, in mind. The beauty is in the details: from the baby blue and lavender purple colorway\u2014her favorite colors\u2014to the area codes for the University of Connecticut and Paige\u2019s hometown in Minnesota that are on the left tongue, as well as an embroidered bucket on the right (iykyk). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s also a text bubble with the very message Bueckers gets from her dad before every game: \u201cBe You, Be Great.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
